First get grounded in the deepest sense of you. This is your fully aware (NOT attending) self. It is who you are behind the veil of all thought. It’s the essential you.
Now rest in THAT. Get a feel for it. It is open without anyone being open. It’s full, but can accept ANYTHING that life throws at it.
Now, the next time you get something you’ve desired – notice – notice – notice if that essential self has changed in the slightest.
You’ll notice that it hasn’t. It’s just one vast opening totally full but accepting of everything. Your essential self notices your success experience, but is not changed by it.
Now, the next time something happens that you don’t like, notice – notice – notice if that essential self has changed in the slightest.
It doesn’t. Despite how upset you are, despite how painful your life may be, that essential self hasn’t changed in the slightest. It is utterly open and full with your pain.
But notice how the conditioned anger/upset feels and how conditioned success feels. That’s life touching your day-to-day self.
