Happiness – It's All in the Head

There is a risk when using language like “oneness” – “mind”, etc. of a kind of intellectual compartmentalization. For mind and oneness are objects of seeing.

As long as there is a person seeking to be happy (a concept) or enlightened (a concept), or respected (a concept) or whatever, then there is suffering within the narrow world of separation, of you and me. We know the journey of seeking is pretty much finished when the need for happiness/enlightenment is gone and there is only seeing uncontaminated by the energy of ego.

To be utterly free of the need to happy (or any other concept) is freedom. When we are free of this drive (which is really a masking one’s total identification with unhappiness seeking its opposite) – we are utterly fulfilled in the moment.
