You Want to Know What Makes Me Happy?

Here is the long and short answer …

Stopping the drive to figure everything out. It’s so exhausting.

Eric, this is lovely and so true for me too. Just occasionally when I do this, I become perfection and all I see is perfection – and I’m soooooo relieved!

My commitment is to ‘stop trying’ but even that involves an effort of mind. I know without doubt that ‘the seeker’ in me can only seek and unless I know that seeking is defunct then no amount of books, conversations, fresh persepctives will ever get me to that illusory place called……. well, whatever it is people might want to call it – ‘sorted’, ‘enlightened’, ‘satisfied’, ……… it’s only in stopping the exhausing searching that I see it’s always been here. A description I read recently was the the search for happiness, fulfilment, enlightenment, or whatever is the very lid that covers up the fact that I already am that. Stop the search and the lid pops off!
