The Way of Love

Don’t love any thing!

Things aren’t real. Instead love all that is real and the only thing that is real is this living moment.

Don’t ever seek to get anything from this moment, because then a “thing” (the fear-based you) lies secretly behind this living moment greedily wanting to “get” something out of it -something for itself.

Love just this moment. That doesn’t sound too hard.

But the moment you start identifying with things, starting with your illusory self, that’s where all the trouble begins. Love this amazing place where you are not. Free yourself of this terrible burden you place on a self that isn’t even real.

Just love this moment and the next moment will take care of itself.

If you’re dealing with pain, horror, travesty – then just love how your heart goes out to that.

That love is the love that heals everything.

How to Clean the Self

Everything needs cleaning – even the self.

But how do we clean the self?

It’s easy – and it’s not so easy.

When psychological discomfort arrives, as it surely will, just allow it to express itself fully. Don’t do anything to block it or ameliorate it. Don’t interpret it or try changing it in any way. Just let it be what it wants to be.

This is how nature cleanses the self. The pain will pass. Just go about your day, but the one thing you won’t do is try talking yourself out of it or analyzing it. Just let it be. There is nothing easier than allowing, but it may be tough to allow pain – but this is what we all need to do when pain arrives. It wants to be. It is like a storm – it arrives – it manifests – and it passes.

When it passes – ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. It’s like the bright and clear sunlight after a storm. The air is clear, everything is in order.

Happiness – Security – Clarity

What would it be like without any need for “one” to cease seeking happiness, security, and clarity? This will be the topic for Monday May 4th, 2009. But, in the meantime, look at a flower,

The Light that Fills Everything

The Light that Fills Everything

wash dishes, chat with your partner, trying doing the most mundane tasks without the slightest need for happiness, security, and clarity,
How does that feel?
